Paperboard is basically a single-ply thick paper. The thickness of paperboard is typically measured in 'points' - for example our custom presentation folders are offered in 12pt paperboard while our paperboard binders are offered in heavier thicknesses. If you go shopping in the toothpaste and eye-care aisle at your grocery store you will see many products utilizing paperboard packaging.
Corrugated is commonly called 'cardboard' and is a paper-based material consisting of a fluted corrugated sheet sandwiched between two flat liners. Brown boxes are made from corrugated cardboard. The thickness of corrugated is typically measured with flute designations listed in descending order from thickest to thinner: A-flute, B-flute, C-flute, E-flute, and F-flute. Typical brown-box moving cartons are B-flute.
